In case you didn't know...

"Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary" was announced at Microsoft's conference at E3. It will be released November 15, 2011 for the xBox 360.

While some people may not like the thought of buying the same game twice, I am here to tell you that that is not the case for this game. Halo's new owner, 343 Industries, updated the entire campaign with a new graphics layer. They aren't exactly the best graphics, but they're a definite step up from the 2011 graphics.

But it's not the graphics that are cool, it's what you can do with them. With just a press of the 'back' button, the layer is removed and the original "Combat Evolved" graphics are restored. All of the walls, buildings, vehicles and enemies will look exactly how they did ten years ago.

Also stated at the conference is that "Anniversary" will have seven remastered multiplayer maps, from "Halo: Combat Evolved" and "Halo 2," and a firefight map (that alone has me excited).Nothing is cooler than being able to fight against the Covenant you want to fight against with what weapons you want.
Technically you could set it up in "Halo: Reach" to only fight "Combat Evolved" enemies, but it's difficult considering there's newer weapons in that game.

Possibly the best thing about this game is the fact that it will not feature the infamous Brute enemies, as they were first introduced in the second game. It's back to facing Elites, Hunters, Jackals and Grunts, the way it always should have been. No more giant monkeys to ruin your fun as you gun down an entire fleet of Covenant.

Another cool thing about "Anniversary" is the fact that it includes two gaming engines. The original "Combat Evolved" engine is used for the campaign, while the "Halo: Reach" engine is used for multiplayer. Oh, and, the black armor coloring is back, baby!

"Anniversary" will also feature the ability to play the campaign co-op style over xbox live, allowing two players to fight side by side against the Covenant.

At a discounted price of only $40.00, "Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary" includes one of the best campaigns of the decade, a fantastic multiplayer engine that provides hundreds of hours of entertainment and some of the coolest enemies and battle cries in gaming history.

I guarantee that this game will be big, and that it will be a blast. If you want to have fun this fall, get this game.
Wort wort wort!
